Hello all. May was an extremely busy and exciting month at the Audi Centre Melbourne. The month began with the launch of the all new Audi A4. On May 1st Audi Centre Melbourne held our largest function ever to celebrate the release of the new model with the Night of Night’s cocktail party. This is a superb model car and has already seen high demands for orders. The A4’s are limited so come in and test drive one as soon as possible!

May has also brought many visitors to Audi Centre Melbourne including Underbelly’s Vince Colissimo, Melbourne Demon’s Brent Moloney, Carlton Blue’s Ryan Houlihan, and Melbourne Victory Soccer Players, Archie Thompson, Nick Ward and Daniel Vasilevski, just to name a few.

I would just like to also take this opportunity to remind all customers of the new luxury car tax which will take effect on July 1, 2008. If you were contemplating a purchase, June is a great month to do this, as you can escape this new tax as well as have a look at some of our spectacular demonstrator models that we are parting with.

With an evening of style and sophistication befitting the brand, Audi Centre Melbourne recently launched the latest model A4 with a ‘Night of Night's’ cocktail party.

Guest speaker, former Wimbledon doubles champ Todd Woodbridge joined host George Donikian, Melbourne AFL footballers Brent Moloney and Chris Johnson, Melbourne Victory soccer players Archie Thompson, Nick Ward and Daniel Vasilevski, and 350 other guests at the Audi Centre Melbourne’s ‘Centre of Excellence’, aka its CBD showroom.

Guests at the glamour event were greeted by a nine foot tall couple bearing cocktails, before being treated to a feature performance by Australia’s Ultimate Kylie Show, singing ‘Audi is a Girl’s Best Friend’.

The evening was the biggest event in the dealership’s history. Motivational speaker Nique Stewart also addressed the gathering, while a superb sound and light display provided an appropriately exciting introduction for the impressive new car.

The A4, class-leading in space, size and overall finish, is designed to take the Audi brand to new heights. With an excellent public reception and strong follow-up interest, the A4 is well-placed to achieve Audi’s goal of being the number one selling European car.

The Audi A4 has been voted Germany’s most popular car. For the ninth time, more than 100 regional weekly newspapers in Germany invited their readers to vote for “Our Car.”

The 56 car models launched during the past year were eligible to take part. Over 100,000 responses were received and the Audi A4 topped the poll.

The Audi A4 has already received numerous major awards including the “Golden Steering Wheel” from Bild am Sonntag and the “Auto 1” trophy from AutoBild naming it the best new car in all of Europe.

Congratulations to Audi Centre Melbourne technician Andreas Prior on his outstanding achievement in the Audi Twin Cup Technology Final.

Andreas finished second in Australia amongst all currently employed technicians’ within the Audi Group. He will now represent Audi Centre Melbourne on behalf of Audi Australia in the World Final in Istanbul, Turkey, in the first week of June.

This is an outstanding achievement by Andreas and Audi Centre Melbourne, ‘The Centre of Excellence’, wishes him all the best with this exciting venture.
