The petrol engine uses the same FSI® technology that has seen several victories at Le Mans. The 2.0 TFSI quattro®, with a power output of 155 kW, uses turbocharging for even greater agility. This four-cylinder engine accelerates the A5 Sportback to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, with an impressive 350 Nm of torque. The fuel quantity, injection pressure and timing are precisely coordinated to ensure that every drop of petrol is used efficiently.

The diesel engine also combines sportiness and efficiency. Thanks to TDI® technology it combines high levels of torque with low fuel consumption. It uses the latest generation of the common rail system to achieve this – for impressive pulling power even at low engine speeds.
